Get Involved - Volunteer at ACTORS

As a community theater, we are all volunteers. From the President to the Board of Directors, from our performers to backstage crews - all of our opportunities in the theater are available to anybody willing to give their time. Below are just a few of the many volunteer opportunities we offer throughout the season. If you are interested in helping out in a show, or maybe server on the Board of Directors, please fill out our online form and we will add you to our volunteer database.

Auditions

Auditions are held throughout the year for our main stage productions, and the ACTORS In-Betweens. Click Here to view the current audition schedule, as well as view tips and general information regarding our auditions at ACTORS.

Front of House Positions

Here are some Front of House positions and a short description of what the job entails. These positions are available each and every show and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

House Manager - responsible for finding ushers, preparing the seating area (vacuuming, picking up leftover trash) and for helping at the refreshments table during intermission. Also responsible for choosing and purchasing food, ice and beverages for intermission.

Usher - responsible for showing guests to their seats and answering questions as to the location of restrooms, etc. Helps out the House Manager during intermission. At least two ushers are needed at each production.

Backstage Positions

For every actor that appears on-stage, there are anywhere from 3-5 people backstage planning and executing key positions for the show and the organization. Here are just a few of the opportunities avauilable:
