MAKIN' It is a vibrant and candid play about makin’ it through high school. Written by Cynthia
Mercati, of Des Moines, Makin’ It has become a favorite production featuring teen actors across the
country. It’s a real life and tough look at teen life, there’s peer pressure, the fear of being a geek, a
grind, or a burnout, not to mention the specter of unpopularity. There’s also pressure from adults,
sometimes well meaning, sometimes narrow minded.

These elements of teen life are blended into a quick witted, up front and funny play that takes a realistic look at surviving high school.

ACTORS is excited to present this play as part of our In-Between series. Makin’ It will feature many
local young actors and actresses, many that our audiences have watched grow up through their various
acting experiences at ACTORS Studio. The show runs just one weekend, May 18-20. Tickets are $8
($7 for BRAVO members and season ticket holders) and will go on sale May 4 at Gallery 319.
